ABOUT ALEX
My name is Alex Chase. I’m a 7th generation Oregonian, born and raised in Eugene. I’m a small business owner and inventor, with 43 patents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
My work ethic started early—at just 11 years old, picking blueberries in the fields of Lorane. For 17 years, I’ve served as a caregiver for the elderly and disabled while building multiple businesses—developing the resilience, discipline, and real-world experience that define who I am today.
Like many people in our community, I’ve spent most of my life outside of politics—working in service, caregiving, small business, and creative fields. I understand what it means to struggle, to be overlooked, and to fight for stability in a system that often feels stacked against everyday people.
I didn’t grow up with power or privilege. I learned early that if something needs to change, you have to be willing to stand up and speak—even when it’s uncomfortable.
That belief led me to run for Governor of Oregon as a non-affiliated candidate. While that campaign ended early, it gave me a clear understanding of how difficult it is for everyday citizens to participate in a system dominated by political parties.
Through that experience, I came to a realization: if you want to create real change, you have to be willing to work within the system as it exists.
That’s why I chose to run as a Republican.
I align with many of the core principles of the Republican Party—but more importantly, I bring an independent mindset focused on real people, real problems, and practical solutions.
I’m running because our community deserves leadership that is honest, accessible, and accountable—not driven by political machines or special interests.
I’m backed by my neighbors, my values, and a deep belief that Oregon can do better.
I don’t claim to have all the answers—but I promise to listen, to learn, and to lead with integrity.
That’s the kind of public service I believe in.
